The Vilnius (Vilna) Gubernia Vital Records Project is chartered with obtaining and translating all the microfilmed 19th century and early 20th century vital records for the Lithuanian-Jewish Communities in the former Vilnius Gubernia of the Russian Empire.
We access records, translate and database them, and distribute the data to our qualified contributors in Excel format. As part of LitvakSIG’s overall mission, our data is made publicly available in the LitvakSIG All Lithuania Database (ALD) 18 months from when members first gain access, but only via the web interface and not in Excel format—that remains a unique benefit for our contributors.
